American female rapper, Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar aka Cardi B has expressed her strong desire to visit Nigeria for the second time, not more than seven months since she made her debut trip to the country.
As Africa continue to grow the influence and portfolio of it entertainment industry across the world through business and partnership on intercontinental scene.
Nigeria cannot be sidelined with the footprint and stride she has left in helping Africa establish a recognition in the global music industry.
Hence, Nigeria music players have successfully attracted collaboration with Grammy winners, getting record deals from major record label, co-hosting entertainment events and musical concerts within and without the continent with top artiste.
On account of this, Cardi B was hosted in Nigeria last December during her tour to Africa but the Grammy winning singer has now renewed interest in returning to the country after she disclosed her motive to a fan base.
The fan base identified as BardiUpdates on Twitter revealed that Cardi B trended the previous day with over 118,000 tweets. Seeing the massive support, she replied stating that she want to be back.
“Cardi was trending in Nigeria yesterday with over 118,000 tweets.” @BardiUpdates wrote on Twitter.
“I wanna go back sooo bad.” @iamcardib replied.
The rapper has always associated herself with the Nigerian culture, lifestyle and food. Notable occasions are, her appetite for jollof rice, Nigerian beer, adopting a Nigerian name and filling a Nigerian passport.
In the event that she realize her obsession, she will be one visitation away from fellow American singer Ciara who has been to Nigeria on a record three times (2006, 2010, 2016).
