Arthur agrees Juventus move to aid Pjanic move to Barcelona

Reluctant Barcelona midfielder Arthur Melo has finally agree to sign for Juventus, giving right of entry to Miralem Pjanic who will join Barcelona from Juventus.

It’s quite usual to see elite clubs breaking their bank accounts to sign a top player in less than no time despite their huge transfer fees but a fortnight ago, transfer news was widely dominated by talk of two giant club who have approached the market in a very different way.

A reported having a look of swap deal involving a Juventus player, Miralem Pjanic and Barcelona’s Authur Melo was said to be in discussion between the two clubs.

Details of the arrangement has now been revealed to be a give and take transaction unlike a regular swap which sees two player go opposite direction with little or no add-on.

This time, the players will exit their clubs in what looks like their release clause, with Arthur set to switch to Juventus for £63 million and Pjanic fixed to move in the other way for £55 million.

Arthur joined Barcelona from Grêmio for an initial fee of €31 million in 2018 but Spanish giants are determined to sign Pjanic and need, to lighten the amount of players they have in midfield by letting go of him.

The central midfielder did not initially approve of the deal stating that he wants to remain in Spain to achieve his dreams. After several discussions, he has now accepted to leave Camp Nou for Turin.
