Man Utd 3-0 Brighton; Solskjaer’s men smash Albion to grab all three points

Olegunar Solskjaer’s champions league seeking side, Manchester United pulled off a magnificent performance to beat Brighton and Hove Albion 3-0 in an intriguing contest at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils may have been under pressure to face The Seagulls who haven’t lost a game since the restart of Premier League, beating Arsenal and sharing the spoils with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City respectively, but the players proved to be more tougher as they buckled up, faced the game with great intensity and came out on top.

United have now won two of their last three games since resuming action in June. Winning twice and recording a draw at Hotspur with the unified and reformed looking team scoring seven times and conceding just one goal so far.

The visitors were effervescent from the brink with Bruno Fernandes attempt to register an early goal ending in near miss. Mason Greenwood scored the first goal of the night from Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s through ball which he coolly drove past Matthew Ryan’s goalpost after 16 minutes.

The starlet now has 13 goals in all competition this season and his sixth goal in the Premier League is the most by a player aged 18 or below in a single season since Wayne Rooney scored nine for Everton in 2003-04.

Fernandes doubled the lead in 29 minutes before commanding a brace through Greenwood’s assist five minutes into second half. The Portuguese now has six goals in all competition to his name since he arrived in January.

Manchester United returned home from Brighton with all three points secured and will get ready to host Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Saturday July 4.
