Uzoma Dozie Offers Insights into Tech Opportunities for SMEs

In a bid to reduce the operational risks associated with small and medium enterprises in Nigeria, Uzoma Dozie, the former Managing Director of Diamond Bank and one of Nigeria’s leading stakeholders in the financial sector, is set to offer key insights on Smartpreneur.

Smartpreneur is a weekly entrepreneurship series. Hosted by Emblue, a new media and marketing communication company, Smartpreneur provides information from top experts, entrepreneurs, and business coaches to Small Business Owners, Startups and other entrepreneurs via online and offline channels.

Uzoma Dozie, the Founder and CEO of Sparkle, a lifestyle and financial ecosystem which launched recently in June 2020, is poised to speak on “How SMEs Can Leverage On Technology To Scale”, clarifying the conditions through which technology can help reduce operational risks of small businesses in Nigeria towards achieving their desired growth objectives.

The special Smartpreneur session with Uzoma Dozie, will be hosted by media personality, Tallulah Doherty-Adetona on Wednesday July 15, 2020.

Speaking on his participation in Smartpreneur’s Instagram live session, Uzoma Dozie mentioned the importance of small businesses adapting to the times through the utilisation of technology:

“I am delighted to be speaking on Smartpreneur this Wednesday. Now, more than ever, the adaptation of technology in operating our businesses is no longer an option, but a necessity. This is one of the reasons why we built Sparkle, to provide digital financial lifestyle solutions to the average Nigerian millennial through their mobile phones. During my session, I will be providing key insights into how businesses, especially SMEs, can leverage digital to reduce the impact of the current global situation on their growth.”

Indeed, Uzoma’s feature will be welcomed by entrepreneurs as a major chunk of the sector continues to struggle due to the attendant socio-economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kelvin Orifa, the CEO of Emblue, also expressed his delight at Uzoma’s special session saying, “We recognize the role that technology can play in helping Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to achieve the key outcomes of improving revenue growth, increasing employee productivity, and acquiring more customers. However, for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), this has remained a challenge due in part to cost and difficulty to identify the right technology that suits their business needs with the array of so many different solutions on offer. This is why we are excited to be hosting this special session with a digital and financial inclusion advocate like Uzoma Dozie.”
