Juventus Fire Maurizio Sarri

Despite short living his commitment to Chelsea to sign a three-year contract last summer that bounds him to remaining at Turin until 2022 with a major objective of making Bianconeri’s 24 years dream of Champions League laurel wait a reality. Sarri has been told that Resources are hired to give results, not reasons.

Juventus on Saturday parted company with head coach Maurizio Sarri after identifying his complete failure following the club’s exit from Uefa Champions League on Friday.

Sarri, 61, took charge in June 2019 and guided Juventus to Italian topflight triumph, setting a record nine consecutive Seria A titles for the club.

Notwithstanding, the Old Ladies have produced a series of unconvincing displays under his leadership, winning the league ahead of Inter Milan with just one point. They also lost the Supercoppa Italiana to Lazio in December followed by Coppa Italia bow to Napoli in June and have been evicted from this season’s Champions League.

After reviewing the Italian manager’s season-long performance, the club said in a statement that: “Juventus Football Club announces that Maurizio Sarri has been relieved of his post as coach of the First Team.

“The club would like to thank the coach for having written a new page in Juventus’ history with the victory of the ninth-consecutive championship, the culmination of a personal journey that led him to climb all the divisions of Italian football.”

Juventus are yet to announce their next manager but some familiar candidates have been identified as potential replacements for Sarri.

According to Sportitalia, the club are lying in wait to grab former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino who has been out of job since November 2019.

Reports also suggest that club legend Zinedine Zidane who just won La Liga with Real Madrid and has a contract that runs until 2022 is being targeted as first choice by Juventus president Andrea Agnelli’s to oversee things at the Turin club.

Although, the three times champions league winner as coach recently admitted that he does not know if he will remain at Real Madrid next season. He told Spanish media in July that: “Nobody knows what’s going to happen in the future. I never talk about next season or the following year. I’ve got a contract and I’m happy. You never know what will happen in the future. Things can change overnight in the world of football and I have no idea what the future holds.”

Simone Inzaghi has also been voted to take the job but not sure he will call a quit on his current club following the success he achieved with Lazio this season, winning a trophy including his forward Ciro Immobile bagging Europe’s golden shoe.
