In a resounding proclamation of progress and strategic leadership, the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) East-Geo Business Zone has initiated a transformative era for Nigeria’s business climate on Tuesday 30th January 2024. The inauguration of a new executive team has marked a pivotal moment, positioning the Eastern bloc as a key player in the national discourse within NACCIMA.
The momentous meeting, convened by the 2nd National President of NACCIMA, Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji, MD,OON,NPoM, was described as a “doctrine of necessity.” Critical stakeholders from the Eastern bloc, including two living NACCIMA Past Presidents, Chief Dr. E.O Edem, FCA, MFR and Immediate Past President, Ide J.C. Udegbala, NPoM, KSJI, NACCIMA Executives, and Sitting State and City Presidents, gathered to witness the unveiling of the new leadership.
The newly appointed executives, introduced by the 2nd National Deputy President, Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji, MD,OON,NPoM, were met with applause and unanimous consent from the assembled dignitaries. Sir Humphrey Ngonadi, the newly appointed President who is the Chairman/ Chief Executive Officer of Ngo Bros Nigeria Limited represented by Deputy President Dr. Mrs. Margaret Ndoma-Egba, expressed a fervent commitment to serve effectively on behalf of the president and the executive team.
Addressing the gathering, Sir Humphrey Ngonadi acknowledged the East Geo Business bloc’s pivotal role in the economic development of the zone and Nigeria at large. Drawing on historical references, he emphasized that just as wise men from the East were the first to identify with God’s ministry of revival on earth, the Eastern bloc would play a transformative role in the economic revival of the nation.
Sir Humphrey Ngonadi also commended the West Geo-Business zone within the NACCIMA National President’s Focal point, Dele Kelvin Oye, Esq and the North Geo-Business Zone within the NACCIMA 1st Deputy President’s Focal point Engr. Jani Ibrahim, FNSE, FAEng, Moni, OON for their contributions to NACCIMA and the national discourse, attributing their success to unity of purpose and focus. He envisioned the move as a catalyst for development, positioning the Chamber movement within the East to revive national economic discussions in a more targeted and effective manner.
Calling for unity of purpose, Sir Humphrey Ngonadi expressed gratitude to Immediate Past President Elder Dr. Hyke Ochia, past presidents, NACCIMA executives, sitting state and city presidents, and particularly to the 2nd National President Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji, MD,OON,NPoM for convening this bold move at a critical time when the private sector, through the Chamber of Commerce, is crucial for stimulating and galvanizing businesses in the Nation.
