CBN won’t settle $2.4b fraudulent FX backlog, says Cardoso
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will not settle $2.4 billion fraudulent FX backlog, its Governor, Olayemi Cardoso announced.
He spoke in an exclusive interview with Arise News.
The CBN boss said forensic audit by Delloitte, a global auditing firm, discovered $2.4 billion in the $7 billion FX backlog did not have valid import documents, were sent by non-existing companies.
